I was playing with skin and shape combinations this morning and came up with this one that I thought was just cute as could be, so I wanted to share it with you.

The skin is Amanda by Sachi Vixen of Adam n Eve. It’s a beautiful skin with really pretty shiny lips and perfect blush.

I only buy skins that will work on more than one shape, and the Amanda skin looked not just good, but gorgeous on my own shape, plus all of these shapes, with no modifications whatever:

That’s versatility!! Looks ranged from cute to sophisticated. I tried them with two different hairs, which also gives a skin/shape combination a completely different look. The hairs I tried them with were Dakota by Cake in Copper and Edwina by Novocaine in Grape.

Amanda is L$1200, and comes with and without hair, freckles, and enhanced cleavage – a total of eight skin versions – and with shape, manicure on the glove layer, and pedicure on the socks layer.

I received a blogger’s pack of shapes from several stores including Madesigns for the skin and shape expo, and this shape, Lillabeth, is one of my favs. It’s very compatible with many different skins, can look cute or more sophisticated/alluring, depending on which skin, hair, etc, you wear with it. A great versatile shape.

I was talking with Maddox last week and found out something I didn’t know. When you buy a shape from Madesigns, included in the price is a customization of the shape. You pick the face you like, then tell them how you’d like the body changed. That’s a great service. Saves you the time and frustration of trying to do it yourself, and you have it done instead by someone with experience and skills in shape modification.

Lillabeth sells for L$899, and right now, 75% of that goes to charity.

I picked up the demos for the rest of the shapes at the Expo a few minutes ago, and I’ll be playing with them and my vast collection of skins this afternoon.

When a friend, knowing my dislike of eyelashes, good-naturedly bugged me to do a pic wearing lashes, I did one and posted it here: Adam N Eve: Sachi Vixen: Mei Li 2 Aki (1 of 2).

But… I just had to do a second picture using the same skin and shape, and ditch the lashes. lol. So here it is.

I love this skin. It is sheer perfection. It’s a great example of what I think of as ’skin artistry’, and Sachi Vixen is a master of skin artistry.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of spending a few hours with a pile of demos from the skins that Sachi has produced over the last few months, you are truly missing out on an enjoyable experience. Grab the demos from the skin fair, and head to an empty sim to try them on with fast loading, clear rezzing, and no lag.

If you’re having trouble getting into the Skin Fair (lots of new goodies there and it’s packed!), just IM or drop a notecard on Sachi, and she’ll send you her latest skin demos to try on while you wait to get in the fair. I checked with Sachi this morning to make sure it was okay to tell you this, so please don’t hesitate to IM her with your request.

Okay, no song, no poetry for this set of pictures. A friend bugged me to do a pic with eyelashes. lol. I couldn’t leave it at that, so I did two pics, one with lashes, and one without, using the same skin and shape.

Since some discussions have arisen about editing pictures, I want to mention again that I don’t edit (commonly called ‘photoshopping’) my pictures.

I also never modify my shape. I never modify the items I wear in pictures except to make them larger in the case of hair, hats, and hips. I have a big head and hips.

I don’t use any special environmental lighting. I don’t use any facelights, or prim lights in my photo studio. I don’t wear lashes. Well, okay, now I’ve worn lashes in two pictures. I sincerely doubt it’s going to happen again. lol.

I would not feel right about showing any item in a way that it does not appear inworld, as purchased, and during regular ‘everyday’ wear or use inworld.

Enough about all that.

My picture of this skin without lashes will be up later tonight or in the morning.
